Once an address expires or is replaced, access to it and its email content may not be recoverable.
Terms of Service · Effective September 10, 2026
Short-term addresses have clear expiration dates,
and clear limits on how the service may be used
By using MsgTemp, you agree to these terms. Pay particular attention to address expiration, the fact that emails are not guaranteed to be stored permanently, and the rules against abuse and high-risk uses.
You are responsible for securing public addresses and their final receiving inboxes.
Email content comes from third parties and does not represent MsgTemp’s endorsement or commitment.
Automation, fraud, harassment, and evading platform rules may lead to restrictions.
Allowed
For short-term, lawful, low-risk receiving tasks
- Receive verification codes, confirmation links, and trial notifications from ordinary websites.
- Create separate addresses for development testing, quality assurance, and template previews.
- Set up pausable, deletable forwarding addresses for different public interactions.
- Separate marketing and download emails while complying with the sender’s terms.
Off-limits
High-risk, harmful, or rule-evading activities
- Scams, impersonation, phishing, harassment, malicious sign-ups, or bulk spam.
- Bypassing blocks, quotas, identity checks, or explicit third-party restrictions.
- Distributing malware, unlawful content, or material that infringes others’ rights.
- Using temporary addresses for asset accounts, emergency contacts, or permanent account-recovery credentials.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
By accessing or using MsgTemp, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of them, stop creating addresses or using the forwarding dashboard.
You must meet the age of consent for digital services required by the laws where you live and have the capacity to enter into these terms. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it to these terms.
2. Service scope and temporary nature
MsgTemp provides temporary inboxes without an account, along with long-term public addresses and delivery history after email-code login. Temporary inboxes have a defined expiration time and may be extended during that period through the options shown in the interface.
The service is not permanent email hosting or a disaster-recovery system. After an address expires, is replaced, or emails or browser data are deleted, related content may not be recoverable.
3. Delivery and third-party limitations
We work to receive and display emails promptly, but cannot guarantee that every message will arrive, display completely, or remain available. Sender servers, spam filters, network failures, and third-party restrictions on temporary domains may affect results.
Some websites may reject temporary email addresses or require a long-term address; that is the third party’s decision. You may not use this service to bypass its explicit eligibility, identity, or usage restrictions.
4. Passwordless accounts and session security
Long-term forwarding accounts use an email verification code to confirm control of the receiving inbox; the first verification may create an account automatically. You are responsible for securing that inbox and preventing others from obtaining verification codes, session tokens, or authenticator keys.
If you discover unauthorized access, sign out immediately, check the security of the receiving inbox, and contact support. We will never ask for a complete verification code or authenticator key by email.
5. Public addresses and final receiving locations
You may create separate public addresses for different relationships and pause or delete them yourself. You must ensure that the final receiving inbox belongs to you or that you have its owner’s explicit authorization.
New messages received after pausing may be discarded, and deleted addresses may no longer work. Update the details held by third parties with whom you still need to communicate before reclaiming an address.
6. Acceptable use and system protection
You may not consume resources unreasonably through high-frequency automated requests, bulk inbox creation, content scraping, or other means. We may apply rate limits, quotas, reserved address terms, and abuse-prevention checks to protect the service as a whole.
You may not probe, bypass, or interfere with security controls, or attempt to access inboxes, accounts, attachments, or delivery records that do not belong to you. Security research requires prior written authorization and must avoid exposure to real user data.
7. Content, links, and intellectual property
Email bodies, attachments, and links are provided by third-party senders. We do not control their accuracy, security, or legality. Before opening an attachment or external link, assess its source yourself and take appropriate security precautions.
The website interface, brand assets, code, and original documentation are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except where permitted by law, you may not copy the service, impersonate the brand, or remove rights notices.
8. Suspension, termination, and deletion
If we reasonably believe that use threatens the system, other users, or third parties, or violates these terms, we may limit requests, suspend features, delete related addresses, or terminate access. In urgent security situations, measures may take effect before notice.
You may stop using a temporary inbox, delete public addresses, and sign out of your account. After termination, data that must still be handled under the Privacy Policy and established retention periods will continue through the deletion process.
9. Service changes and availability
We may update features, quotas, address domains, or interfaces to improve reliability, respond to abuse, or comply with legal requirements. We will provide notice of material adverse changes where reasonably practicable.
Maintenance, outages, network incidents, or events beyond our control may interrupt the service. Do not rely on MsgTemp as your sole channel for emergency notifications, legal service, or business continuity.
10. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without guarantees of uninterrupted or error-free operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or email delivery. You are responsible for deciding whether to use a temporary address or a long-term mailbox.
We are not responsible for third-party email content, external links, website rejections, or difficulty recovering an account because an address expired. Any warranty that applicable law does not permit us to exclude remains unaffected.
11. Limitation of liability and indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, MsgTemp is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or opportunities. Any liability will be determined in light of the nature of the event and applicable law.
To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for reasonable claims and expenses arising from your violation of these terms, infringement of third-party rights, or unlawful use of the service.
12. Governing law, severability, and entire agreement
Disputes are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the service provider is located, without affecting mandatory consumer protections available under applicable law. The parties should first try to resolve issues through good-faith communication.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These terms and the Privacy Policy form the complete agreement between you and MsgTemp regarding this service.
13. Updates to these terms
We may update these terms as features, laws, or security practices change and revise the effective date at the top of the page. We will explain material changes in a prominent place on the website or through another appropriate method.
Continuing to use the service after an update takes effect means you accept the revised terms. If you disagree, stop using the service and delete any public addresses you no longer need before the effective date.
14. Contact support
For questions about the terms, account restrictions, or abuse reports, email support@msgtemp.com with the relevant time, address, and a description of the issue. Do not submit sensitive email content or one-time verification codes unrelated to the issue.
For details on how we handle emails, logs, and account information, read the Privacy Policy.
